We've been back in Tucson a little over a week. We've been busy restocking the perishables and stuff. Yes we had the place painted, new entry stairs and a skylight put in the bathroom. Th color isn't exactly what we thought it would be but we think it's better than what it was. Besides we don't have to look at it that much. We're inside.
We've had beautiful weather since we got here. 5 to 10 degrees warmer than normal. Our trip out was as close to perfect as we'll probably ever get. Great four lane divided highways all the way.
Things are changing again at the park. New managers coming in and the one that came last year before we left is leaving. They're claiming they worked hard all summer. They did take the palm trees out of the entrance drive and covered the cactus garden with red rocks. That helped the first appearance look better.
Nothing much else going on.
Well, it's about time you wrote another blog. Thought you had fallen off the face of the earth. Glad to see you made it out there safely and are settling in. We will see you in about a month. Leaving Charlotte the Monday after Thanksgiving and taking a straight shot to Tucson. Of course we don't drive as fast as Ron does, so it will take a while
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm glad to hear that you have warm weather. It's 27° here. Atleast they aren't calling for snow. Yet. Nothing much going on here. Getting ready for Thanksgiving. We got the turkey. 21 lbs. We're hoping for a lot of leftovers. I have a list in my head for the rest of the menu. (I better write it down. It's bound to get lost up there) Do you have any folding chairs? We only have 4 chairs. I'm pretty sure Bob has some, but I wanted to ask you if we may borrow them just in case he doesn't. Hailey's party was a lot of fun. We sat with Bob, Matt, Lynn, Mary & Dwayne. We all sat & talked. It was really nice. Bob gets down on the floor with Hailey. I wish I would have thought to take a video. That little girl wants for nothing. I think she got 2 outfits & the rest were toys. I think Bob had to haul it to their place.
