The Day After my Birthday

First of all, let me say, that yesterday, my birth day, was probably at the top of the list of best birthdays ever.
Started out the day with a single, long stem, red rose and a beautiful card that brought tears to this lady's eyes.  He could have written it himself and it wouldn't have been any truer.
Fresh donuts and coffee and juice for breakfast.  I'm telling you this man was up early and getting it done.
Road trip to Milwaukee for a family reunion of hubby's foster family.  The youngest brother and his family usually have one every summer but this year was special since one of the nephews got married last Saturday and all the brothers and sisters were still in town.  Not much talking at the wedding, to many other things going on.  Not all the nieces and nephews came to the reunion but a good time and plenty of food and talk was enjoyed by all.
Since our contribution was bread and water we really appreciated everyone else's.  Young Daniel brought his fabulous home made salsa.  It is so good that I could have just had it and chips but I'm glad I didn't cause the rest of the meal was great also. Then games with chocolate candy bars as prizes and the chocolate birthday cake for Marilyn and me.  Marilyn's was last month.
Before we knew it it was after 7 pm and time to start the start heading home routine.  Goodbyes said and food shared and repacked for taking home.  Folding chairs stowed away in the back of cars.  Then more hugs and good byes.  Thanks to all the family for the wonderful birthday.
